Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds divorce is finalised six months after split

The marriage between Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds has officially ended.

Papers were filed yesterday in the Los Angeles Superior Court which drew a line under the four year relationship.

The Green Lantern actor, 34, filed for divorce from Scarlett, 26, his wife of two years on December 23 2010 citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple had announced their separation just nine days before.

In the papers, filed by Ryan's attorney - the famous celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser - the couple are splitting all earnings made during the marriage 50/50 as there was no prenuptial agreement.

However neither parties have asked for spousal support.

The couple began dating in 2007 and announced their engagement on May 5 2008.

The pair married in an intimate ceremony in Ryan's native British Colombia, Canada on September 27th 2008 before moving into a luxurious $2.8 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills together.

Warning signals that the relationship was in trouble emerged last year  when Ryan told GQ magazine that their relationship had 'changed' since they married.

'I'm a little more guarded, I think,' he told the men's magazine.

'I'm a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera.'

Meanwhile Scarlett also voiced her own issues with relationships, telling Glamour magazine: 'I don't profess to know anything about marriage that anybody else doesn't know, or how to make it right.'

Since their split, Scarlett began dating actor Sean Penn, who is 24 years her senior, while Ryan has been linked to his The Proposal co-star Sandra Bullock and model Agnes Fischer.
