How to Replace Toshiba C650 C655 Laptop Keyboard

In this article I explain how to disassemble Toshiba Satellite C650 C655 keyboard.

Make sure you have turned off the laptop and remove the battery before disassemble.

Step 1

Remove 2 screws securing the keyboard on the battery module.

Step 2

Carefully lift up the right side of the keyboard cover with a screwdriver.  Then continue removing the keyboard cover with your fingers.

Step 3

Lift up the top side of the keyboard, then you can see the keyboard ribbon cable  and connector.

Lift up the right side of the locking tab so it opens up at a 90 degree angle.  In this step the connector shown in the unlocked position.

Take apart cable from the connector.

After release the keyboard cable from the connector, you can disassemble the keyboard.
